Our Mission as a leading Shreveport Bossier City home builder and developer is to construct homes and communities that uphold the values of home buyers and increase in value over time. Our staff is dedicated to creating communities that are right for the particular environment while also fulfilling the homeowner’s need for comforting, convenient and energy-efficient homes.

Our History
Vintage Homes was founded in July of 2006 by the owners of Vintage Realty Company, David Alexander and Alvin Childs along with Justin Sevier. Vintage Realty Company opened in 1988 and overtime David and Al passed on many opportunities to help develop and grow residential markets in Northwest Louisiana. Finally in 2006, they were able to embark on a new venture to make those opportunities and visions realities. Our goal is to mirror the success of Vintage Realty by making Vintage Homes one of the south’s leading home builders and remodelers.
After many years of successful home building, clients began to also call for our expertise for commercial build outs, ground-up construction and large development projects. VAS Construction was then introduced to manage the many projects coming our way including Provenance Town Center, David Toms 265 Academy Clubhouse, Centenary’s Student Housing, and many more. VAS Construction, handled detailed community development planning including permitting, dirt work, utilities, and site plans.
VAS Construction’s experience building office spaces, retail shopping centers, medical offices, community clubhouses, neighborhood pools, and sports complexes led to growing this brand into a new venture – Sightline Construction and Development in 2025.
This same dedication and commitment has continued through our transitions from Vintage Realty, Vintage Residential, Vintage Construction Group, VAS Construction and now with Sightline.
In 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2025 Vintage Homes received a Guildmaster with Highest Distinction Award from GuildQuality for demonstrating exceptional customer service within the residential construction industry. Out of nearly 2,000 eligible applicants, Vintage Homes is one of 400+ businesses within the residential construction industry recognized by GuildQuality for consistently delivering superior customer care. Vintage achieved a recommendation rate of 97% from their customers surveyed by GuildQuality. “The feedback we receive from our clients before, during, and after a home build is crucial to our success. In 2024, Vintage Homes brought home the BALA Silver Award for the Cottages in Provenance on Crossvine Lane!
At the February 2023 IBS Show in Las Vegas, Vintage Homes brought home a Silver Award in the Best in American Living Awards (BALA) by the National Association of Home Builders for a custom home built on Magnolia Park!
In August of 2016, VCG was named to The LSU 100: Fastest Growing Tiger Businesses. The LSU 100 is a highly competitive program that identifies, recognizes and celebrates the 100 fastest growing Tiger-owned or Tiger-led businesses in the world. In addition to celebrating the success of the honorees, the LSU 100 provides a forum to pass lessons on to the next generation of LSU entrepreneurs.
